Hurricane Bush

Now that Hurricane Katrina has ripped through New Orleans, viewers may be wondering to themselves why the Louisiana National Guard hasn't been deployed to prevent the rampant looting that is going on. Well there's one simple answer--they're all in Iraq.

While Bush continues to nonsensically ramble about how the deployment of forces to fight his war in Iraq is making us safer, what Mother Nature has done is proven the opposite. The job of protecting city streets during times of disaster or turmoil generally goes to the National Guard. Unfortunately, there are none to be found to protect businesses and homes.

And now Bush is going to fly in to give his scripted sympathy speech filled with the usual empty promises and then he'll pose for his usual photo-ops. The Peach wishes that while all of this was going on, someone would just ask him if this is his idea of Homeland Security.
