Chicken Little Redux

It seems every time Bush opens his yap The Peach just wants to look at him and say, "Are you still here?"

After brave members of Congress stood up to the "dickless backers of Bush" and refused extending Presidential authority to tap phone calls and emails, Bush again did his best Chicken Little impersonation. He stated that because of Democratic defiance "our country is in more danger of an attack."

He then went on to reaffirm that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, the economy is strong, he has no idea who leaked Valerie Plame's name, No Child Left Behind is working, the Afghan government is functioning, the Taliban is on the run, he has the support of the American people, and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays will win the World Series in 2008.

100 Years of Ineptitude

On CNN's Larry King show John McCain defended his statement that he would keep American troops in Iraq for 100 years if necessary as long as its "fine with" the American people. He then went on to state that his opponents were taking the quote out of context (isn't that a well worn phrase?). The Peach thinks readers should decide for themselves. As far as The Peach's thoughts? Well, McCain seems to think as long as troops are safe we'll just keep them there. The Peach has a better idea. Why not ask Bush to uproot his family and move them to Baghdad for the next 100 years? It's his war, let him sit in it.
